Steps to stream your event to YouTube Live

Setup Streaming

a. Select Commudle Stage from event admin and click save

b. Go to www.youtube.com and switch to your channel

b.1. Click Go Live from top right and then select schedule stream

b.2. Click on Create New (you can also reuse settings from a past stream if you have done any streams earlier)

b.3. Add the required details, click Next

b.4. Turn off live chat (unless you will be managing YT also), click Next : Live chat settings

b.5. Set the visibility as public (unless you want to keep it private) and set the scheduled time, click Done

b.6. Copy the RTMP URL and Streaming Key to the admin dashboard. Paste it in the format rtmp_url/streaming_key(example: rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2/1232454545sdcsjd) and save

Start Streaming During Live Event

1. Start the streaming from Commudle stage page

Click to start streaming

2. Go to Youtube studio, the streamed video should appear with 30 seconds delay

3. Click Go Live from top right

Stop Streaming

1. Stop the streaming from Commudle stage page

Click to stop streaming

YouTube streaming automatically stops when the incoming stream breaks after some time, but it's good to manually stop it too.
